“Shake off the dust” from the national costume and bring it to the level of a model from an expensive boutique - such tasks are set by an exclusive fashion.

Boutique girl, Tyrolean dirndl from African hand-woven fabrics, humorous and extravagant combinations, unconventional patterns and spectacular prints. And also old photo archives, Alpine quality of materials and work, extravagant cut, original decorative elements and refined accessories with feathers. Result: authentic things filled with feeling. Fun traditions for those who prefer to backtrack on traditions. Dirndley converted to completely modern models.
The young generation of Austrian designers is breaking the line between fashion and tradition. Modern national Tyrolean costumes look original and individual, designers manage to draw new ideas for traditional costumes in a fashionable kaleidoscope.

25-year-old, but already well-known in fashion circles (and not only in Austria) designer Markus Spatzier from the Tyrolean province offers a haute couture collection. His brand Manufaktur herzblut well known to lovers of quality fashion. His interpretation of the traditional national dress is extravagant and pretentious. It is a symbiosis of tradition and modernity. Lacquer and leather give the models elegance and impressiveness.

His collection acquires a very special sound these days, during the famous Oktoberfest, which is most often called the Beer Festival. In 2014, the holiday closes this Sunday, October 5th.

Since 1810, on the Teresa Meadow (now almost the center of Munich - the capital of Bavaria), under the watchful eye of a Bavarian bronze statue 18.5 meters high (with a viewing platform on his head) for 16 days, the participants of the festival drink beer, have fun, ride the rides, they take pictures of costume processions (which are not inferior to the famous Brazilian carnival), dance and sing, and, of course, boast of national costumes!

The beer festival is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most ambitious holiday on the planet, on average 6 million people attend it. The holiday begins with a procession of brewers - from year to year they are the same people, or at least the same families. Then the opening ceremony of the first beer barrel takes place: at exactly noon, a tap is driven into the barrel and the mayor, after opening the barrel, shouts loudly "Open!" Every Tuesday at the festival - Family Day: prices for attractions are reduced and enthusiastic cries of children are heard throughout the meadow. It is impossible to park a car near Terezina Meadow, but there are parking lots for ... prams. True, you can only be at Oktoberfest with your kids until 6 p.m., and on Saturday no wheelchairs are allowed at all.
On average, each visitor drinks a liter of beer on a holiday. True, some people bring cheaper beer with them. It happens that someone loses consciousness from a drink. These are called the "beer corpse." On duty - Red Cross employees take them to a special tent and bring them to life.

However, such stories are rare, and festival visitors continue to honor traditions. And this is not surprising, because among the residents of alpine and alpine regions, in honor not only national costumes. Even the appearance of tents selling beer has not changed since 1892!
