From its inception to the present day, Hoover has been one of the leading brands in the production of home appliances, which is distinguished not only by design, but also by the functionality of the products. The brand’s history began back in 1907 and is closely connected with the name of Murray Spengler, a doorman from Ohio Canton. The asthma tormenting him made me think about a solution to this problem - as a result of which the first components of the future vacuum cleaner were developed. Spengler's patent is later bought by William H. Hoover, a leather goods manufacturer and seller. So, in 1908, Hoover was founded. The first production totaled up to 6 vacuum cleaners a day, but a combination of bold entrepreneurial ideas and innovative solutions by William H. Hoover created a business that soon outgrew state borders. By the late 1930s, Hoover was the largest manufacturer of vacuum cleaners in the United States. By 1995, after a long change of ownership, the HooverEuropeanAppliance was acquired by SandyGroup, which has since represented the brand in Europe, North Africa and several countries in the Middle East. And after a few years, it gradually begins to bring it to the Russian market.
Of course, much has changed today, and more than one team of engineers and designers is working on creating new models of Hoover vacuum cleaners, creating beautiful, fashionable and, most importantly, functional products. But the history of the formation and development of the founder of the company, William H.Hoover, his bold ideas and entrepreneurial talent still inspire followers to create new innovative products. So, such a well-known conceptual design bureau as MomoDesign is working on the design of Hoover vacuum cleaners. In their arsenal, the production of luxury goods is predominantly for automotive Ferrari. The result of this “non-standard” cooperation is bright and technological models.
The year 2016 in Russia was economically difficult, but the crisis is gradually receding. The home appliance market is starting to grow compared to 2015. Against the backdrop of general small growth, sales of Hoover vacuum cleaners have shown a sharp jump compared to last year.
So, in the past year, the number of Hoover portable vacuum cleaners sold increased by 86%. And this is not surprising, because manual and portable vacuum cleaners are very convenient, they are increasingly bought by Russians as a second vacuum cleaner - a quick, easy, compact assistant. For example, such as the AthenEvo cordless vacuum cleaner. It is extremely maneuverable and convenient, while in terms of efficiency and quality such a device is in no way inferior to a wired vacuum cleaner with a power of 2500 watts.
Sales of Hoover vacuum cleaners without a dust bag (container) jumped even further: as much as 174%. And this figure is easy to explain: container vacuum cleaners have become a trend of our time, they are beautiful, convenient - no need to mess around with removable dust bags, preferring a neat plastic container to them. The most spectacular model in the line of bagless vacuum cleaners is HooverSynthesis. He received the Red Dot Design Award for Best Product Design.The jury appreciated the original appearance and high performance of the model. HooverSynthesis is equipped with the Airvolution multi-cyclone filtration system, has a high suction capacity and holds up to 10 liters of compressed dust thanks to PACT active compression technology.
Despite the success of innovative container-type models, vacuum cleaners with a dust bag are also stably sold, because the contact with dust with this design is minimal, and this is very important for people with allergies. Leading in the number of sales in this segment was Telios Plus. It has high suction power up to 425 watts and an excellent air purification system using washable HEPA filters.
CandyHooverGroup's 2017 plans are quite ambitious - double the 2016 result! But the company is confident in success. Moreover, it is planned to expand the assortment line and introduce large household appliances under the Hoover brand to the Russian market.
