"Geometric" suits, trapezoid dresses, white trouser suits and, of course, mini - the legendary innovation of the Englishwoman Mary Quant ...

In the early 60s, French couture still determines the development of fashion. However, along with a wave of economic miracle, the female population is overwhelmed by a wave of independence: the fashionable image is becoming more youthful and informal. Unique costumes by Andre Kurrege are no less successful than sophisticated artichoke dresses from Pierre Cardin or miniskirts - the legendary innovation of Mary Quant.
The 1965th year becomes the year of triumph of Andre Kurrez. First, this French designer surprises the world with trapezoid dresses to the knees, then recommends ladies to wear pantsuits. He dresses women in white from head to toe, works with patterns of strictly geometric shapes and is the first to use synthetic film as material for clothing. Yves Saint Laurent develops the idea of a pantsuit and in 1966 creates the first ladies' tuxedo! At the same time, London is beginning to dictate fashion laws. Englishwoman Mary Coint is inspired by the short skirts of her colleague Andre Kurrege, makes them even shorter and invents a mini. Together with the mini, for the first time, fashion comes to the high podium not from famous masters, but from the street. And, finally, about accessories: the most important of them are headscarves, headbands and large dark glasses.
