DIY Transformer Bag: A New Hit

Step 1

Prepare the pattern details for the bag. Cut a 37 x 44 rectangle (dimensions include allowances 1.5 cm wide). At one corner measure 17 cm on both sides, draw a line and cut off the triangle. Along oblique sections add 1.5 cm wide allowances with triangles at the longitudinal sections.

Step 2

From raspberry fabric to carve:

The main part of the bag (without corner) - 2x;

A pen measuring 76 x 8 cm - 2x;

Corner - 2x.

Step 3

On each handle, turn the longitudinal sides to the midline by 2 cm. Fold the handle in half. Width of handles in finished form 2 cm.

Step 4

Stitch both pens to the edge.

Step 5

From the green fabric, cut 4 rectangles 21.6 x 8 cm in size. Fold the two parts with the wrong sides and sew the side sections at a distance of 1 cm.

Step 6

Unscrew the parts and stitch the sides to the edge.

Step 7

Fold each green part in half, iron and fasten it with clothespins to a triangle along a long cut with the front side to the front side.

Step 8

Attach each main part of the bag with a clothespin to a triangle with a green part, and then grind at a distance of 1.5 cm.

Step 9

Thus, between the main parts of the bag and the triangles, green wings are sewn 2.5 cm wide. Iron the seam allowances. Each allowance can be overcast on an overlock.

Step 10

Chip both parts of the bag with the wrong sides and first make the lower seam at a distance of 5 mm. Iron the seam, fold the parts with the front sides and lay the line at a distance of 1 cm (linen seam).

Step 11

Repeat the same thing on the sides: bag details sewn with the wrong sides inward at a distance of 5 mm, iron. Fold the bag details with the front sides and lay the stitches along the side sections at a distance of 1 cm.

Step 12

Iron the upper section of the bag twice on the wrong side, 2 cm wide, by fastening clothespins to the hem (on the wrong side) at a distance from the side seams of approx. 10 cm. Stitch the hem to the edge, securing the handles.
