This life hack not only allows you to make a thing on a clasp from a pullover or sweater, but also works as an additional way of decoration.

In this way, you can redo a jumper or pullover in two cases. The first is when you just want to find a thing on a clasp instead of a thing without it (you need to take into account that the converted thing will already be about 2-3 cm). The second - when the jumper / pullover sat wide after washing or became too small for another reason: then you can remake it into a sweatshirt with buttons on top. By the way, this way you can make comfortable clothes during pregnancy.

This method is best suited for things from not too thick knitwear, both woolen or acrylic, and cotton.

Elbow patches for a sweater or cardigan: 9 ideas with instructions

You will need:

- jumper or cardigan;

- material for grinding (you can take, for example, thin cotton, knitwear suitable for thickness and texture);

- the right amount of buttons;

- scissors for fabric;

- tailor pins;

- iron;

- sewing machine and thread.

How to decorate a sweater: 7 effective ideas

Step 1

Wash and dry the remodeled item and decoration material before work. Find the middle of the front of the sweater / pullover and cut it exactly along this line.

Step 2

From the fabric, cut 2 identical stripes.The length of each is approximately 5 cm longer than the length of the cut line, the width is at your discretion, in this case 5 cm.

Step 3

On each strip, iron inside out about 1.2 cm on the long side.

Step 4

Pin the stripes to the jumper as shown in the photo. Stepping back from the edge about 1.2 cm, sew stitches by sewing on fabric.

Step 5

Wrap the stripes inward. Wrap their upper and lower ends, as shown in the photo, iron and pin with pins. Sew the stripes and stitch if desired.

Step 6

It remains to make loops and sew buttons.

P. S. If you want to sew on fang buttons and hinges, do this before sewing the first line (see step 4).
