This method will help to make a painting on the fabric, similar to a batik with a contour. The role of the circuit is performed by ordinary PVA glue!

Such a painting can make a picture imitating batik. At the same time, a special contour (reserve) for the batik, which does not allow the paints to mix, is not required. PVA glue can fulfill its role. To make the contour convenient to apply, it is better to choose a package of glue in a bottle with a spout. So you can practice painting the fabric if you do not already have experience, or do painting with children. You can decorate with such a painting, for example, a fabric bag, a T-shirt, and so on.

We dye fabrics and clothes using the Japanese shibori technique

You will need:

- fabric or item for painting (cotton);

- acrylic paints (universal or fabric paints);

- brush;

- a sheet of thick paper to protect the second layer of fabric.

Art prints: dye the fabric with a spray gun

Step 1

It is better to wash, dry and iron the fabric / item before work. Select a picture. If you have, as in our case, a thing whose second layer you want to protect from glue and paint, put a sheet of thick paper of the right size inside. Glue from the bottle with the nose, apply the contours of the pattern on the fabric. Wait for the glue to dry completely.

Step 2

Now you can colorize the picture. Try not to go beyond the contours caused by glue (they will be noticeable after drying), but if the paint gets on the glue, it's okay.

Step 3

When the drawing is painted, wait until the paints dry completely.

Step 4

Now you need to wash off the glue.Submerge the fabric in water and rub the contoured area. The glue will go away, and the paint will remain on the fabric. After that, it remains only to dry the thing.

P. S. In the same way, you can dye the fabric with a liquid dye for the fabric. We apply glue, wait for it to dry, dilute the dye in water, dye the fabric and remove the glue contour.
