Even a beginner needlewoman will cope with this master class!
Serving napkins for appliances come in many different types: wicker, plastic, woven. Often, such cute napkins can be bought at a discount, so a new bag can cost you quite cheaply.
Sew a bag of maxi-format do it yourself
You will need:
-2 identical wipes (preferably dense and textured)
mouline matching shade
-needle
-leather belt
- pieces of fabric
pins
-scissors
We sew and decorate a fabric bag: 4 workshops and 16 ideas
Step 1
Fold the napkins with the front side inwards, pin them together with a needle and a mouline thread to sew along the bottom line using the back needle stitch.
Step 2
Also sew the sides, but stop before reaching the end - here we will make the loops for the strap. Their exact location depends on the size of your napkins. Just keep in mind that the upper part of the bag should be closed like a valve, and, based on this, determine what size you will make this valve.
Step 3
When finished, turn the bag to the front side. For loops, we need 5-8 cm pieces of fabric to match the napkins or, conversely, contrasting ones to your taste. Form a buttonhole and place it over the side seam so that the buttonhole looks outward from the front of the bag. Lock with a pin
Step 4
From the inside, continue to the end of the side seam, thus sewing on the buttonhole (it is advisable to sew it with a double seam for reliability).
Step 5
When the sides are stitched, fasten the strap. It can, if desired, be replaced with rep ribbon.
Done!
